Mike i’m not saying what he/they did was right, i’m just saying it went a bit deeper than skin colour, they was always going to be remembered as the thieves of their land and making a fortune from it on the back of indigenous hard labour.

A total farce that the farms went to rack and ruin for the sake of revenge.

NO, what I am saying is that most investors from the west will be manipulated by the West, normally if a country is fruitful and the west keeps quiet, who cares?.

So are you saying that foreigners MUST invest - and KEEP INVESTING - in a nation of whom the leader and his tactics they disapprove?

Re: Coup Zimbabwe
mashed

I hate Mugabe as much as any sane man, but to blame him alone for turning his country into a very poor country is ridiculous, the West has played a big role because Mugabe did not play ball the way they wished him to.

Look for example at Turkey who are becoming poorer by the second the Economy is close to crashing, now yes they have a fruit loop as leader but once Foreigners start pulling investment and money out of the country and then America possibly starts to fine Turkish banks billions for infringements on laws that America itself has created for the world to follow ( Though America has the power to choose country's they wish to mess with depending on whether the country they wish to fine is in line with their interests}.
In other words whether you think it is racism to say this or just bad luck the West holds all the cards when it comes to a country's prosperity.
If you are a crazy Nationalist a mad lefty or Communist America and the powerful nations like a pack will in their way destroy you with embargoes, even if it means being evil and holding back life helping medicine and machinery or even food, once the West turns it's back on you its pretty much good night Josephine.

Re: Coup Zimbabwe
Mugabe was responsible for the massacres of about 20,000 Ndebele people. In case you were wondering, Ndebele people are not white.

Black power bods and lefties who celebrate him for ousting the evil white man (and in the process turning "the breadbasket of Africa" into the state it is today) don't like to be reminded of things like that.

Re: Coup Zimbabwe
bit of a sticky subject this one.

for example if i have a neighbor who never bothers looking after their garden or even goes out in their garden, do i have the right to do the gardening and expand my garden over it?

I would probably guess that the best way to go about it is for the non-gardener to backdated pay the gardener of his work and also pay them to learn how to do the gardening themselves.

So, dragging the land ideologically back to the hunter/gatherer status it had before those bad whiteys made it productive enough to not need to hunt/gather/wonder where your next meal would come from is a GOOD thing?

Re: Coup Zimbabwe
I think it goes a bit deeper than that AOI with regards to white farmers.Something to do with them taking their homelands back when they didn't have such things as farms or laws to register land rights.

HH - If anyone's racist it's Mugabe and his followers (i.e. most of the country) who for decades persecuted white farmers and others, simply because they were white.
Most of black Zimbabwe were all for this policy, now the fuck-wits are dancing in the streets following the coup and his downfall.

Re: Coup Zimbabwe
Sad to say it but the idea that the country can somehow just bounce back to what it was before 1990 is laughable. They've either chucked out or killed the people that made the place productive. It's joined the ranks of the no hopers like Mozambique and Congo.

I see that the locals have gone into full-on jungle bunny mode celebrating his departure, whereas most of them would have backed him for most of his tenure.
Thy'll no doubt replace the horribly corrupt e-ba-gum with just another bent African.
